Haryana Kanya Kosh has been established for accepting donations from individuals/institution. Any Amount can be deposited in this kosh in Bank A/c No 671410110011021 of Bank of India.The donated amount is exempted for income tax under 12 A Section.
- Haryana Kanya Kosh has been constituted for the welfare and development of girls and women of Haryana.
- The said Kosh aims to generate an environment in which the girls are provided with the equal opportunities for their growth and empowerment.
- Kosh shall be utilized to provide funds and other inputs for Apki Beti Humari Beti scheme for the welfare of the girl child and for any other initiative for the welfare and development of the girls/women.
- This Kanya Kosh can receive donations cash and surcharge for achievement of the objectives of the said fund.
- Two Committees have been formulated under the said Kosh- the State Level Governing Committee and the Executive Committee.
- An appeal of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana regarding donations for Haryana Kanya Kosh Society by individual, corporate houses and other institutions was published in the newspapers.
- The certificate of registration of Haryana Kanya Kosh u/s 12AA as a “Charitable Society” has been issued by Commissioner of Income Tax Department. Rs. 54.22 lakh utilized till date out of sum of Rs.64.27 lakh deposited through donation.
