    Apki Beti Hamari Beti

    Aapki Beti Hamari Beti is a Haryana State Government Scheme in which a sum of Rs 21000 is invested with Life Insurance Corporation LIC in the name of 1st Girl child of SC/BPL families and 2nd child of family belonging to any caste. On attaining 18 years of age, the girl child will be paid a tentative With effect from 24.08.2015 third girl child born in families belonging to any caste were also covered.

    Objective

    The objective of this scheme is to improve child sex ratio and to ensure survival, proper health and promote education of girls in the state. Every girl child has a right to be born and have access to education in order to develop her potential.

    Benefit Provided

    Rs. 21000/-(One time is invested in LIC of India). Till now 460347 beneficiaries have been covered. During the current financial year 2023-24, 35932 beneficiaries have been covered upto the Month of October, 2023. A sum of Rs. 26798.50 lakh is provided in the budget for the year 2023-24, out of which a sum of Rs. 8805.56 lakh has been spent upto the month of November, 2023.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The following are the eligibility criteria for beneficiaries under the scheme:-

    1. All scheduled Caste families whose first girls child is born on or after 22nd January 2015 shall be eligible to receive one time grant of rupees Twenty One Thousand (Rs. 21,000/-) only.
    2. All Below Poverty Line (BPL) families whose first girls child is born on or after 22nd January 2015 shall be eligible to receive one time grant of rupees Twenty One Thousand (Rs. 21,000/-) only.
    3. All families whose second girl child is born on or after 22nd January 2015, will receive one time grant of rupees Twenty One Thousand (Rs. 21,000/-) irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, income and number of sons.
    4. In cases, twin/multiple girls are born on or after 22nd January 2015, will receive one time grant of rupees Twenty One Thousand (Rs. 21,000/-) only per girl child in any family satisfying the eligibility conditions.
    5. All families whose second girl child is born on or before 21st January 2015, will receive Rs. 5000/- girl child per annum for five years irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, income and number of sons. (This is applicable for those cases who were eligible for benefit under Ladli scheme).
    6. In cases, when twin/multiple girls are born on or before 21st January 2015 will receive Rs. 2500/- per girl child per annum for five years irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, income and number of sons in any family of the state of Haryana satisfying the eligibility conditions. (This is applicable for those cases who were eligible for benefit under Ladli scheme).
    7. All parents resident of Haryana or having Haryana domicile and at least one of the parents along with the girls child should be residing in the Haryana.
    8. The pregnant women should be registered at the nearest Anganwadi Center or with the Health Department.
    9. The birth of all girls children shall be registered.
    10. The girl child shall have Aadhar number. However at the time of enrolment, Aadhar number of the parents is also accepted.
    11. The parents should ensure proper and timely immunization of the girl children and immunization record (as per age of the girls children) should be attached with the application form.
    12. Beneficiary should  be enrolled in Anganwadi Center as per their age.
