    • To lay a strong foundation for the holistic development of children below six years of age, with special focus on nutrition, health, non-formal pre-school education, and on awareness and capacity building of mothers regarding the nutritional and health needs of children.

    • To empower adolescent girls (11–18 years) through improved nutrition, healthcare, life-skills education, and awareness for their overall development.

    • To provide a safe, secure, and protective environment for the overall development of children in need of care and protection, as well as those in conflict with the law.

    • To create awareness and provide support services to aggrieved women and families under various legislations, including the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005; Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961; and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006.

    • To eliminate gender bias, correct the adverse sex ratio, and eradicate social evils that adversely affect women and girls.

    • To prevent abuse, exploitation, and trafficking of women and children.

    • To enable the economic and social empowerment of women, including relief, rehabilitation, skill development, and livelihood support for vulnerable and disadvantaged women.

    • To promote awareness of gender concerns in government policies and schemes, and to undertake research, training, and capacity building, along with strengthening internal mechanisms for better understanding of issues related to women and children and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
