Balika Samman & Mahila Samman Samaroh

The Women and Child Development Department Haryana celebrated Balika Samman Diwas Samaroh on 22nd December, 2006 in which 107 girl achievers of the state from various fields like education, sports, cultural activities etc were honoured by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Haryana in New Delhi. Likewise on International Women's Day i.e. 8th March, 2007, the Department also celebrated Mahila Samman Samaroh in which 127 Women Achievers of the state from different fields have been honoured by Hon'ble Chief Minister at Panchkula. During the year 2008-09, Balika Samman Sammroh was celebrated at Haryana Niwas, Chandigarh on 8th March, 2009 i.e. International Women's Day in which 48 excellent girls of different fields were awarded. During the year 2009-10, Balika Samman Sammroh was celebrated at Inder Dhanush Auditorium Panchkula on 21st January, 2010 in which 360 excellent girls with exceptional achievements in different fields were awarded. Likewise on International Women's Day i.e. 8th March, 2010, the Department also celebrated Mahila Samman samaroh in which 60 Women Achievers of the state from different fields have been honoured by Hon'ble Chief Minister at Haryana Niwas Chandigarh. Similarly, State Level function was organized on the occasion of Celebration of International Women's Day on 8th March, 2011 at Haryana Niwas, Chandigarh in which Hon'ble Chief Minister, Haryana honoured the Women Achievers of different field. Mahila Samman Samaroh and 3rd Annual State Level Sports Meet for Women was organized by the department on 26th March 2012, at Bagh Jahannara Stadium, Jhajjar. The women achievers in various fields, who have done exemplary work for the upliftment of society, were given awards on this occasion. The awards include Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award, Kalpana Chawla Shaurya Award, Bhain Shanno Devi Panchayti Raj Award. The other awardees include nominees of Stree Shakti Puraskar, Best Anganwadi Workers, Best Shakshar Mahila Smoohs, Female Nurses/ANM, women achievers from the fields of Sports, Indian Red Cross, Child Welfare Council and Industries department. The award includes a citation, Phulkari Dupatta & cash prize. The State Level Function to celebrate National Girl Child Day was organized on 24th January, 2013 at Government College of Girls, Sector- 14, Panchkula. 29 Girl achievers of different fields i.e. Slogan Competition and for obtaining excellent marks in the Matriculation and Senior Secondary examination were honoured by Hon'ble Women and Child Development Minister, Haryana.
